About 3 weeks to go, my work schedule would be on point except for the fact that oh yea...holiday coming up which means,i work ALL week. I just ordered my business and postcards though and they do look awesome thanks to my graphic design friend Jinx. It really helps to have one of those. ;)

So there's my business card, I ordered my cards at gotprint.com it's super easy you just upload your images and how you want it. I'd show you my postcard but a. apparently you can't upload a PDF and b. you should really wait until my show

I'm in the studio everyday from about 12-12, more or less, cutting fingers, getting arthritis, and inhaling metallic dust.

...this is a love/hate affair.

So...here's a look at how I spend at least 90% of my life (ok maybe 80 but that's still a lot!) My studio looks like this

All semester I have been working hard on my thesis,as I mentioned, consists on pewter teapots. Pewter is a very low melting, easy to manipulate metal, which allows me to work detailed and fast.
Here is an example of how i go through the steps of creating a piece...

I start with a drawing to reference scale and shape

Then I make the separate parts

Then I add the detail to each part with chasing and repose(a method of surface embellishment using pitch)

When they are complete I join the pieces together

The complete piece is sitting on my desk awaiting its big reveal at my show. guess you better be there to see it.
