I've settled into a cute downtown apartment with my boyfriend and I love it! I love city life so far I only wish I had friends here to hang out with in my down time but it will come. Anywhoo...my internship at Bario-Neal is going great, its a small company that sells studio type jewelry but mostly custom engagement and wedding rings, which is really really awesome. For the most part I do finishing, clasps, simple assembly and on the side I'm learning about the admin/customer interaction/business end which is really useful. Next month i'll also be volunteering to man a gallery during the month long Val Cushing show which will be cool so i'm excited.

....As far as my own work goes, money is tight for now no sign of affording studio space in the near future.
This is a serious bummer, i want to make my own work : (

So I've arrived in Philadelphia and i'm in love, i'm also terrified. I landed an internship at a small jewelry company downtown, it's an awesome opportunity but at the same time it's unpaid thus leaving me wih the daunting task of getting a paid job which has proven difficult. I'm shocked actually that with my experience and a million and one restaurants it would be easy, guess not. We're keeping our fingers crossed about an apartment downtown and Zac finding a cooks position. This is a shakey start but we all knew it'd be far from easy and frankly it could be worse. For anyone still reading this hang tight, I promise i'll be doing something relevent soon ; )

So school is over and the heavy work schedule is also over and i'm down to three weeks until the big move! I'm so nervous and very excited, i'm not sure which I am more. I've been in contact with some people about volunteering in galleries and such, all have been short gigs but hopefully they will lead to more solid opportunities. If anyone has any advice on moving out of state or getting out into the "real(art)world" please do
; )
